God in the Arts

From Series: "God in the Arts"

In the depths of winter, much of nature seems dead or dormant. Adverse weather keeps us indoors, and shortened days can become gloomy and lonely. The creativity of God, so clearly expressed in vibrant spring flowers, summer fruits, and fall foliage, can be harder to find in winter. But God is still Immanuel—God with us. God’s Spirit sustains creation and continues to breathe life into each one of us. God’s wisdom, strength, and creativity permeate every person, each child made in the image of God. Over the course of this three-week mini-series, community members will share about how they have experienced something of God’s Spirit through their creation and appreciation of art, music, and writing. We will have an opportunity to participate in various creative arts together as we seek to experience more of our Creator in the world around us.
