Good Friday Service

Join us at 7PM via Zoom for our Good Friday Tenebrae service. “Tenebrae” is Latin for “shadows” and is an ancient form of service used by various traditions. The progressive extinguishing of candles and use of darkness dramatizes the increasing sadness of Holy Week ahead of the celebration of resurrection at Easter.

To fully participate in the service, you might like to gather bread/cracker and juice/wine for communion, as well as 9 candles. Light all 9 candles just before the start of the service, and turn the lights in the room down or off.
