Devoted to Christ

Joy Ride: A Journey Through Philippians

In this fourth week in our series, we explore Philippians chapter 3, and the paradox that devotion to Christ is both effort and surrender.

From Series: "Joy Ride: A Journey Through Philippians"

The first church started by the apostle Paul was in Philippi, a Roman colony in northern Greece. It became a generous partner in Paul’s ongoing missionary work. While in prison , Paul affectionately wrote a letter to the Philippians, thanking them for their ongoing support. In it, he encouraged them to have joyful confidence in Christ, even in the midst of external opposition and internal conflict. Paul’s message applies today as we take heart during difficult times that God is still working in our lives—for which we can take great joy!
