In this mini-series to close out our summer season, we will reflect on two stories from the Bible, one from the Hebrew Scriptures and one from the Christian Scriptures. Both stories are “unbelievable.” First, because they are miraculous. This moves them outside the lived experience of many of us, and yet there is truth and reality within each of them that can apply to us all. And second, because they are brilliantly crafted stories, unbelievably well-written ancient narratives that dig deep into the human condition and resonate with us across millennia. Together, we’ll immerse ourselves in their layers, explore their depths of meaning, and listen for God’s voice of love.
