Middle School

Our dedicated team of Middle School leaders is passionate about helping students explore faith and navigate the challenges of the middle school years. With a strong relational component mixed with plenty of fun, we’ll consider together the claims and teachings of Jesus and their relevance to teens and pre-teens.

Sundays at Cedar Ridge

We meet at 10:00am on the first floor of the Barn on most Sundays. Sometimes, our gatherings will take us outside to the farm, fields, or other parts of the property.

On occasion, our whole community gathers in the auditorium for All Ages Together services.  These services offer a variety of age-appropriate  experiences designed to bring children, youth, and adults under one roof to worship and grow together. On these Sundays, “Wiggle Rooms” are  also available for parents and young children  who need a break from the main service.  Specific dates are announced well in advance.

Content

Our youth curriculum is custom-made to meet the needs of our community. Often times, children, youth, and adults will address the same topic in age-appropriate ways. This approach allows for continuing conversations at home on matters of spiritual importance. At other times during the year, we’ll study different parts of God’s story, seasonal emphases, or other important and age-appropriate themes.

Retreats, Guatemala and Other Events

Because developing relationships is such a crucial piece of youth ministry, retreats and other social gatherings play an important role at Cedar Ridge. We’ll meet on-site and off-site throughout the year. Our students are also encouraged to participate in our summer trips to Guatemala and other service opportunities.

Volunteers

Through our screening process and volunteer policies, we do our very best to ensure a safe place for students and volunteers to interact together in positive, healthy ways. We always welcome new members to our youth ministry teams. Whether you’d consider yourself a gifted teacher or just someone who likes hanging out with students, if you are interested in helping youth explore what it means to follow Jesus, please contact Trish Audi to discuss the possibilities.
