What is God Like?

Exploring the Depths: Our Faith in Progress

At Cedar Ridge, we want to be a community that celebrates our relationship with God and our own distinct perspective on what it means to follow Jesus. At the same time, we want to make room for and embrace doubt, uncertainty and mystery. Through this series we will explore who God is and what God is like as revealed through scripture, tradition, experience and reason—recognizing that our understanding of God is limited and evolves over time. We will focus particularly on the person of Jesus, “the image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). Our hope is that through this series we will develop a more passionate, loving and worshipful relationship with God, a greater acceptance of each other’s spiritual journey, and a stronger commitment to partner in God’s work of healing and reconciliation in the world.
