Many years ago, I began experiencing some difficulties during the final trimester of my 3rd pregnancy. My first two pregnancies had been smooth sailing with no issues, but having the third child had been fraught with many challenges. I was internally feeling quite anxious and a bit fearful at church one Sunday morning, trying unsuccessfully to let go and give those negative feelings to God.

At the end of the service, a fellow church member approached and asked if she could pray for me and my baby. She was not someone I knew well, and she had no knowledge of my situation.  She was just acting upon an urging from God that I needed some encouragement at that time. Her offer of prayer was a simple act that really gave me hope and peace about my unborn child.  I felt God reaching out to me in love, and that feeling carried me through the rest of the pregnancy and the safe delivery of our son. Hope reigned!
