from the Cedar Ridge vision

Congregational Care

This ministry provides prayer and support for Cedar Ridge members and regular attenders who are in need, and is a point of contact for those who know that another member is in need. It reflects our vision of being a community “where everyone looks out for the concerns of others and no one is alone.”

Discipleship Groups offer support for their members and for other Cedar Ridge folks in their vicinity, but sometimes there is not a group nearby or they cannot meet the needs. We are building a core group of people who can help with hospital and home visiting and with practicalities such as meals, chores, errands, and rides. This ministry can only function if you sign up to help!

We also host a Care Circle of people who pray regularly and confidentially for needs and requests and for the staff and volunteers at CRCC. Members write and send cards with notes of encouragement to people who are ill, in long-term care facilities, in the military, away at college, or welcoming a new baby. You can submit a prayer request here.

Congregational Care is an excellent ministry for anyone who wants to help but doesn’t have a lot of time right now. No special skills or gifts needed! If you can cook, clean, offer a ride, do yard work, send a card, pray, or just take a walk with someone, you can help. Let us know how you want to pitch in.

Please help Cedar Ridge fulfill our dream of being a community where no one is alone. Offer occasional help on a flexible schedule and make a BIG difference in someone’s life.
