About three times a year, our church community gathers at 9 AM for a potluck breakfast before departing in groups to serve our community. Some projects occur here in the church building or on our property, for example: working on our farm, transforming old t-shirts into dog chew toys for area animal shelters, or packing non-perishable food into bags to donate to Greencastle Elementary School’s food backpack program. Off-campus projects may include: stream clean-ups, serving the formerly homeless in area group homes, or cheering on Special Olympic athletes. We value these opportunities to join together, in a service day for all ages, to support our surrounding community.
On Sunday, April 23rd we are hosting an Multi-faith Day of Service and inviting our neighbors from various faith communities. You can sign up online for a project that inspires you. You can also sign up to bring a potluck breakfast item to share, and to see what else is on our wish-list for the day. This will be a great day to love and serve together – don’t miss it!
