Please make a year end donation to Cedar Ridge

Dear Cedar Ridge:

I hope you are enjoying the wonder of this Advent Season. Last Sunday we were able to celebrate together by going out to serve our community in all kinds of practical ways. It was a great day and we’ll be sharing stories about it in the services this Sunday December 18th (9 & 11AM).

As we approach the end of 2011, I would like to ask you to take a moment to think prayerfully about making a year end gift to Cedar Ridge. As we seek to follow Jesus and reach out to serve those around us, all our operating expenses are met by the faithful donations or our own community. Through our sacrificial and generous giving over this past year we’ve been able to continue growing food for the hungry on our community farm; we’ve been able to reach out with God’s love to the people of Ipala, Guatemala through support of local schools, health and environmental projects; and we’ve continued to take up the challenge of personal transformation through our discipleship groups.

These are just a few of the ways we are making a big difference people’s lives and to keep going effectively we need to finish 2011 in as strong a financial position as possible. So please pray and give generously. This coming Sunday (December 18) is the last chance to place your gift in the offering towers but you can also mail a check (to Cedar Ridge Community Church 2410 Spencerville Road, Spencerville MD 20868) anytime before the end of the year.

We have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to. May God’s peace and joy be yours and may love and hope fill our hearts this season.

With love and gratefulness,

Matthew
