April – July 2014
We will gather together as a whole community to commemorate Jesus’ resurrection, and celebrate his goodness, love and power bringing life to all the world. We will have a service that will be enjoyable for the whole family and appropriate for children of all ages. No separate children’s gatherings.
Make a donation of your favorite dessert or pastry, or buy a mouth-watering treat, or do both! The bake sale will take place before and after the service in the commons.
Cedar Ridge Community Campout, May 3, 5 PM-May 4, 10 AM
Dust off your sleeping bags and tents and come sleep out under the stars on our beautiful property at the Cedar Ridge campout! Saturday, May 3-Sunday, May 4. Invite some friends to come along with you! We’ll have group games, face painting, and crafts for all ages. Bring a picnic dinner to enjoy in the evening. We’ll light up fire pits, roast marshmallows and listen to live music from the Chatham Creek Band. As young families retire to the quiet camping area, we’ll have a late night movie showing on the side of the barn for older campers to enjoy. For early risers we’ll have coffee and a nature walk ready, along with a scavenger hunt for the kids, plus pancakes, pancakes, pancakes! Hope you can join us!
April 14: Spring Day of Service ∙ All Ages Together
Don’t miss this great opportunity to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way by serving others. On May 18, our whole worship service will be centered on practical acts of service. We will all gather as usual at 10 AM to sing and pray, and then we’ll all go out to work on a variety of service projects. Some of these will be off-site at other locations serving people in need. Some projects will be on our own property: working on our farm, and preparing our property as a whole for the bloom of spring. There will be projects for all ages and physical abilities, so bring the whole family and friends. Don’t miss this wonderful experience of God’s creativity and generosity as we celebrate life together. For more info contact Bryan Peterson.
Details to be determined
Bring your vehicle to church, and we’ll wash it while you worship. Just come to the barn side of the property, hand over your keys (to a responsible adult), and drive home with a sparkling, clean car after the 10 AM service.
We will celebrate New Members (from the Journey), Baptisms and Child Dedications. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sarah Hughey (email@example.com) by Sunday, June 1.
