Theophostic Prayer Ministry

Logo - Cedar Ridge Community Church

Theophostic Prayer Ministry (TPM) is a ministry of focused, guided prayer that is centered on a person’s emotional pain and related past memories, seeking the presence and Truth of Jesus for freedom and spiritual growth.

We are a group of people commmitted to one another and to God, coming together to learn and practice TPM principles for our own growth and healing and in order to become effective TPM faciliators for others who are in emotional distress.

TPM encourages a person to look inside and get in touch with beliefs counter to God’s truth, often hidden deep within away from the conscious mind, and hold these beliefs up to the Lord expecting an authentic, experiential encounter with Jesus, resulting in mind renewal and greater peace and joy in daily life.

TPM is facilitated by an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner in a safe and loving environment.   Contact Patsy Fratanduono: email or call 301-384-7444 ext. 24 for more information, or to schedule a TPM appointment with a team member.

Phase 3 TPM training details

Hello my friends,

Congratulations for having made it through phases one and two of the TPM training--can you believe that we began together the first week of June 2009?!    Well done on completing all of the requirements for certification.  I am in the process of completing the final registration of certificatio for all.  It will most likely include a final test--but never fear!  You are well prepared.

I will get back to you when I am sure of all details.

At our meeting on Monday night we outlined the details for Phase Three of TPM training as follows:

Meetings

Monday Jan 11th

Hello Friends

A few bits of information for our next meeting

  • Read and come prepared to very briefly discuss chapter 13
  • We will spend a big portion of the evening on practicing and then de-briefing a TPM session in each group between two trainees.  The facilitiation portion will be 25 minutes and then 15 minutes or so group evaluation beginning with one person faciliating for another in each group,  and for each group member to provide evaluative, helpful, gracious feedback for the facilator, beginning with the recipient.  Grouping document is attached.  We will come back together briefly in the larger group before we close.  P

Dancing in Heaven...

Hi there- I meant to forward this to the TPM list-serve last week -- I sent it to "Community," but forgot to post it on the TPM website.  (I'm not sure who's on what list, or who's read what -- so please forgive me if it's redundant.)  ;)   :)  See below:
Thank you, Ginny, and thank you all!

Resurrection Victory!

Happy Easter Monday!

I just wanted to share the joy I was able to experience on Easter Sunday at Cedar Ridge.  It has been a very difficult journey over the last 2 weeks with my Mom going to Hospice and then going to Heaven.  But, because He is risen, I know she is risen.  » Read more

TPM Session Guidelines

Hello Theophostic Friends,

I have been researching through the extensive TPM training materials looking to address the confusion that came up at last Monday's group meeting over one of the listed guidelines on the "Evaluation Form for Observing Facilitators in Training".  If you were there you recall that there was some discussion over one a little more than half-way down the page that said:

Discern carefully and call attention to any aspect of "truth" or visual the person received during ministry that did not appear to be authentic and/or Biblically consistent & encourage the person to discern what was true and not true and where the info originated » Read more

TPM Training Resources

We have discussed many different resources during the 20 weeks of this training that will be very helpful in the future in facilitating TPM with others.  Almost all of this information is found in your TPM Seminar Manual. I  have included the page numbers where applicable for reference, and attached some other documents, including an updated training sessions content sheet that shows when we covered chapters, take home tests, live ministry demonstration DVD sessions, etc in class.  Please be sure to make up the Live Demo sessions you missed, and please return all DVDs that are currently out before the end of 2009 so we can check our library and have an accurate reflection of what we have available for next year. » Read more

TPM Training Discussion

Welcome everyone to the discussion page for our TPM training team!

I have posted Linette's comments about categories of lies here as our first post, and then a follow up post from me with my thoughts on categorization of lies.   Anyone can post additional comments here anytime and the whole thread will be documented for future reference.

I included Linette's document on categorization of lies below.

Linette's comments:

It seemed like a lot of us felt this past week that it was hard to keep the eight kinds of lies straight.  I think part of the reason is that they are not all the same kind of thing: a guardian lie, for example, has a certain function, while an anachronistic lie is a certain type of belief. » Read more
