Hospitality
Hospitality is defined as "the friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers." We also include our members in our efforts to make Cedar Ridge a welcoming place on Sunday mornings by greeting people as they arrive, providing coffee, donuts and bagels, and being available to setup tables, chairs and supplies for occasionaly gatherings.
Greeting is simply being friendly to people as they arrive. Our volunteers greet at the outer or inner doors to our main building, usually for 30 minutes before heading in to enjoy the service.
Coffee is usually made by one person each Sunday. Starting around 8am, four coffee makers are run until 11:10 to provide our Fair-Trade brew to both of our services.
Event support is on an "as needed" basis. We occasionally have potlucks, sporting competitions or meetings that need a few people to setup tables and chairs, arrange supplies and handle cleanup once the event is over.
If you are interested and willing to serve in any of these capacities, please email Kirk Hoffman, Director of Facilities and Hospitality, at kirkh@crcc.org.
