2009 is our first year to farm. We broke ground on March 29th, 2009 and by mid May had our first seeds planted. With the abundance of rain, we were blessed to have healthy plants through the middle of summer. Now we are learning more about bugs and organic methods to help keep our plants healthy through more dry and bug infested conditions. But overall our first year has been a blessing and success as we have grown and given away more than 1,000 pounds of produce in our half acre fenced area. We have also had close to 200 people work, serve, enjoy our farm by participating in its care and production. We are all farmers! Enjoy some images of our first fruits of labor:
