Children are spiritual beings, yet often in the course of their everyday lives they have little opportunity to listen to God and develop  a deepening relationship with God.  From May 8 through June 12, the children of Cedar Ridge will be experiencing different ways of "Connecting with God" through prayer. Similar in content to "Awakening to the Life Within," this series will help children learn the value of creating their own breath prayers, silence, giving thanks, praying the Scriptures, and checking in with God each night.    In our elementary groups, kids will rotate through a specially designed prayer room, a hands-on activity room, and a gathering room.  Preschoolers will interact with similar content in age-appropriate ways.  We'll also take the opportunity to experience God outdoors and through music.  Parents are encouraged to talk to their children about their experiences each Sunday, and to enourage kids to continue to "Connect with God" throughout the week.
