On Sunday, November 13, at 11:00am, the Cedar Ridge Children's Ministry will be hosting some special guests - birds. Real birds - like hawks and owls and other winged creatures! Personnel from a Maryland State park will be bringing these birds to allow us to see them and learn about them up close. This will be for both elementary and preschool students, and will last for one hour (though we'll probably let the younger kids go back to their regular rooms a little earlier). We will most likely meet in Room 202.
This special event is a part of our current discipleship series. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, "Look at the birds of the air. They don't plant or gather crops. They don't put away crops in storerooms. But your Father who is in heaven feeds them. Aren't you worth much more than they are?" We'll use our time with the birds to help us think about worry and how God cares for us (which we'll talk about the following week).
The birds are only available for one presentation, which will begin at 11:15am. If you normally go to the 9am service, you are welcome to join us at 11am. We will, however, have our normal 9am children's ministry, and we will try to get outside to look at the birds and flowers on our property.

We look forward to seeing everyone then!
